Based in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Can Praxis is a non-profit organization that uses horse therapy to support veterans and first responders who suffer from PTSD and help them regain their family relationships.

“When we first discovered Can Praxis, we were absolutely stunned by the amazing work they do,” says Nice Horse bassist Brandi Sidoryk. A member of the Canadian Forces herself, Brandi also grew up in Rocky Mountain House near where Can Praxis operates. “After learning more about the program, we really wanted to find a way to get involved.”

“We were just so impressed by how they use horses to help veterans and their families through the stresses of PTSD,” adds Krista Wodelet, drummer for Nice Horse, whose partner is a first-responder who suffers from PTSD. “We felt personally connected to the organization in so many ways, and we are very proud to partner with Can Praxis and support the program however we can.”
